Scott Gillenwaters

Scott has been elected to two terms as a County Commissioner where he served as Chair of the Operations, Legislative and Tourism Committees, as well as Parliamentarian. He also served on the State board of the Tennessee County Commissioners Association.

He currently sits as Vice Chair of the County School Board where he serves as Chair of the Budget Committee and is a member of the Policy Committee.

He is employed at First United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge as Director of Student Ministries. He has also served as Facilities Director and Director of Support Staff.

He is a Mediator with Community Mediation Service of Anderson County serving both the Victim Offender Reconciliation Program as well as the Teen Parent Mediation program.

He is a past member of the Anderson County Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors and Contact Helpline Board of Directors.

He’s been a member of the Lions Club for over 25 years.
